2 flavor pasta (340yen) & steamed bun (120yen)

Pasta! Very western I guess, but popular in japan. The red one (tomato) had more sauce than the white (cream sauce) one, so i liked it better. the juice (on right) is Nachan brand white fruit flavored drink with 'lemon kiss' (140yen?) which was ok. Above the pasta is a Chinese steamed bun (in its wrapper still) which was curry flavored. Normally i love Chinese steamed buns. but it was too soggy today.

beef & noodles salad (298yen)

I took this apart for easy viewing. The tray on the right is the cooked strips of American (foot and cow disease! aaah!) beef and veggies, in the center you can see the noodles and above them is the orange sauce for the noodles. The sauce was nice mellow with a hint of zest and spice. The meat was kind of bland but the veggies were nice and crisp. Had this with (on the far left) a single stick KitKat candy package.(42yen) It was green tea terimasu flavor. Not bad, a little tarty.

beef calbi kimchi rice triangle (130yen)

I realize this isnt a bento, but I put other packaged food here from time to time and this one deserves to be hereーー its so good maybe i have already uploaded it before? First, the calbi tastes pretty authentic to me. Second, it uses salted seaweed (korean style, versus plain Japanese style) and every time i've had it, the seaweed has been really crispy and the rice fresh. Finally, its just a frickin yummy taste combo!

chinese noodles (298yen) & cobb salad (335yen)

The noodles were kind of boring. Not quite bland, but not a lot of spice or anything. The salad was actually more expensive than the noodles. It was labeled as a "cobb salad" but according to Wikipedia it wasnt. In fact the picture on the dressing package was a cobb salad, but the contents of the salad were just potatoes, tons of shredded cabbage, green beans, and some other bits of random veggies. The sauce was good but not enough for the salad. Tasted like tarty 1000 Island Dressing, kind of. It was OK, too much cabbage though.

pork calbi yakisoba (360yen)

These noodles were fairly good, but super oily. The meat was a bit rough, but not so bad. A lot of pepper in this calbi (korean sauce).

Heres the start of what should be many more HD video blogs of bento I've had. This is one I had when I went down towards Shizuoka for New Years. Enjoy!
